History of Absolut Park

Thanks to the dedication of Seppi Harml, his friends, and his family, the first kickers were built in 1997 at the Frauenalmlift, today’s Powder Shuttle area. “In a region full of ski racers, it wasn’t easy at first to establish a snowpark. With a lot of patience and passion, we were able to build a small ‘Boarder Park’ in 1997/98,” says Seppi. By the third season (1999/2000), after moving to the Hubertus Lift – today’s Absolut Park area – lift rides had multiplied, and Absolut Park was born.

Once established, Absolut Park developed rapidly: alongside the introduction of key events, the infrastructure grew continuously. New park areas, modernized lines, and additional facilities provided more variety, safety, and space for riders of all levels.

The park thrives because of its people: shapers, snowcat drivers, and marketing staff take care of planning, construction, and daily operations. They are supported by the Absolut Park freeski and snowboard team, composed of both local and international professionals.
